Beyond manners and decency [posted by

Re-reading my post from this morning on today's london underground fiasco, I just remembered a similar event from earlier in the week. It's only fair to post it and share my woes.
Whilst waiting for the train every morning, unless I'm running madly up the stairs because the train is at the platform about to leave, you'll usually find me placed in exactly the same spot. It's a carefully chosen spot, because I know a) it's where the doors open to get on, b) the chances of getting the seat here seem higher than anywhere else on the platform, and c) the doors will stop exactly where the stairs are at my destination station.
So...along comes the train, me and my missus intelligently placed, ready to board and enter another day of drudgery in the city. Train stops, doors open...walk to seat, about to sit down and find myself suddenly tripping up over some short, fat, ugly over-middleaged miserable looking munchkin daft as a brush woman, who had darted past me like her last breath(if only) had depended on getting a seat. My missus turns around to talk to me only to be greated with this munters ugly mug. Totally confuddled, I exclaimed "how f**king rude" amongst other expletives I shall not print here, and proceeded to walk to the other end of the carriage and get a seat there instead.
What a waste of space. I mean...I really do understand the motivation between the Hanibbal Lecteur films now, as he only ate 'the rude'. It is a disease which seems to be catching fast and taking over. It must be stopped dead, before there is simply nothing good left of this planet. Rudeness like this should be a crime, punishable by death by a blunt spoon. 0 comments | 68 views
